I would say scheduling, at least the first year until you get a better understanding of the bidding system. How you can make it work for you.

The complete hiring process was well executed and very organized. Day 1: Submitted application Day 10: Received email invite to "Delta Hiring Day" & submitted requested time Day 14: Received confirmation of time requested with additional information regarding hiring requirements Day 19: Hiring day! Arrived at 11:15a for 12p interview. Everyone in the lobby was promptly picked up at 12p. DO NOT BE LATE!! You will be removed from consideration. We checked in by showing two forms of identification. We were directed to a large meeting room, where the team managers presented a 30 minute presentation to tell us all about Delta, the job, and the benefits. AND yes, flight benefits are available after completing 30 days. After the presentation, they immediately started with the interviews. Depending on how many managers they have on interview day, that's how many they take at a time. The day I was interviewed there were 6 managers. Our group was taken 6 individuals at a time. They take you all in a semi large room, with a manager sitting at each table (6). Yes, you're all in the same room. In the interview, they ask you to tell a little about yourself and then immediately start with the questions. Since you're in the same room, everyone has the same (3) questions, which you must use the STAR method of answering. 1. Describe a time you went above a beyond in helping someone. 2. Describe a time you had to provide customer service to someone difficult or angry. 3. ** I can't remember the other question Once you're done. The managers go out into the hall and start calling you out 1 by 1. That's where they tell you if they're offering a contingent offer of hire or they'll thank you for coming in and contact you later (that means you were not considered for hiring). If moving on, you're taken to another room, where they confirm your i.d. again. You are sent an email to complete preliminary new hire docs, (you must bring your phone & cords to receive the e-docs to complete), and fingerprinting. Once you're done with your paperwork you're taken to complete your drug test. It's a urine test, so drink plenty of water during the Delta presentation. After the drug test, you move on to complete the P.A.T. test (agility test). First your blood pressure is taken. Once cleared, you are then taken to the agility testing area. You are shown how to properly lift a suitcase, turn, move it 3 ft behind you, and then turn back and place the suitcase back in the starting position. Each time you return the suitcase you are asked to place an additional sand weight inside the suitcase. It's up to you as to how many you want to add each time. I opted to add the remaining 5 after the 3rd time to get it over with. Whew!! They can't tell you how much the total weight is but if I had to guess, it felt like a total of 70lbs, after I opted to add all the weights. ** Side note here: Almost every black person (slim, avg or chunky) in attendance had high BP readings. They were allowed to rest and test every 15 - 20 minutes, in hopes it would come down. But some were given physician release forms to take to their doctors. *** I saw someone call their doctors office to fax the PR form to have them sign and sent back to them. They went to the front desk for help in faxing. They were able to complete their agility test the same day. Just a thought. Once the form is completed, you have to bring your physician release into the office. They'll give you the proper instructions. Afterwards, you're allowed to go to their outside facility to complete your agility test. Again they'll give you proper the instructions. So, remember a slightly high reading does not disqualify you, you just have additional steps. I must say, I did wonder if there were problems with their equipment or the individuals taking the readings. Just a very noticeable observation, as they were all caucasian. There was a black person with their team, but this person only did the weight tests. My experience with Delta Interview/Hiring Day was great!! It's well organized, the people were super friendly and worked cohesively together as a true team. I went away excited about joining Delta. Good luck to any new prospects!! p.s. Remember, almost anything can be overlooked, except tardiness. You must be on time, and be kind.

Starting pay is only $17, which is just barely above the $15 minimum wage (NYC).
