    - Marcus by Goldman Sachs gives you the chance to build products in a start-up-like environment, but with the resources of a big company like Goldman Sachs - Very high standards when it comes to work ethic, communication, and delivery - Culture of collaboration; always have a lot of people cc'ed on all emails - Coffee culture; people are open to connecting and sharing their experiences/views - Annual 360 review process helps highlight your strengths/growth areas over time

    Contras

    - Attrition / poor morale - Overworked - Marcus by Goldman Sachs is still in the beginning of the "transformation process," as Marty Cagan would say. In practice, they still have a lot to learn and grow from more product-driven Tech companies

    Prós

    Attracts the best people in the industry. The company has pretty good technology compared to other banks. The company has pretty good organization.

    Contras

    Some groups have pretty long working hours. Work environment could be quite competitive. Work between different groups could be organized better.

    Not diverse with mostly a white staff

    Prós

    I liked the family atmosphere and teamwork that was present a few years ago. I liked that they were making efforts to address this lack of female representation on the planner and account manager positions (his is a banking institution and there is little diversity in the management positions of mostly white males.)

    Contras

    There has always been an large issue with nepotism in the recruitment and advancement process. Family and friends have a better chance of getting a job and promotions if you know someone important here, not necessarily based on the quality of your work.
