    Prós

    Total flexibility and trust is shared between the employees. It is refreshing to see that the "Manager" figure is taken out of equation, everyone has a voice and a role in the company. Every employee also is a value to a company not a number on the payroll. 30 days of holidays does a sweet job as well. It is great to know that you have 6 weeks of holiday a year. Your battery can be recharge regularly. And needless... to say that the working environment is powered by committed and enthusiastic people with a great sense of humor. Your day is never the same, but always filled with laughter or at least smiles The bonusly system that is practiced here is based on the individual recognition and rewards. That means that every employee has a right to reward anyone they like with the money provided by the company (the allowance given each month to each employee to give away)

    - among the few companies where feedback is not just welcome, but encouraged - holacracy system works most of the time (one of the benefits being you don't feel "bossed" around) - constantly seeking improvement in both company organisation and projects - work from home quite relaxed ("common sense" approach) - gym (co-sponsored) - parking (co-sponsored) - sailing event (co-sponsored) - private health... insurance - awesome collective - beautiful office near city centre and subway, with perks (coffee, juice, stand-up desks, ergonomic chairs) - annual summit in nice locations (usually somewhere by the sea) - free certifications in areas of interest - somewhat transparent / meritocratic advancement to higher levels - good-enough salary - bonus.ly system that brings you extra aprox. 100eur/mo. - top-of-the-line laptops (macbooks pro) - vacation days increase +1 each year - 3 days (no questions asked, no need to bring medical papers) of sick leave Above all, what I really like about the Buc NC is the "healthy" culture, you feel cared for and in some ways educated. You're encouraged to speak up your mind (raise "tensions"), it's not the end of the world if you do mistakes (as long as you learn from them), you're helping others (the "buddy" system) and there's a sense of freedom (within limits of common sense).

    - the atmosphere is nice and the location is a big plus. The colleagues are open and take care of you from day one. - Holacracy is something I came across at Netcentric for the first time. I never thought a company could have an almost flat hierarchy and I really came to value this approach. *Not everything can be changed*, but at least each opinioin will be heared and evaluated before acting. - growth culture.... You have the opportunity to try many things out and propose change. - nice management so far - working from home and the sick days

    I'd say that the work environment is the best thing you'll find there and that's because most of the people are friendly and helpful, not to mention that the office looks pretty cool. The usual free coffee and tea are complemented with juice, biscuits and other snacks. The company supports and sponsors all kind of different events and team buildings. They have offices in different cities across Europe and you'll... get the chance to work in multi national teams and travel a lot. The benefits and compensations package is above Bucharest's average and they also have a bonus system. I would add that the hardware (laptop, mouse, monitor, etc) you'll receive to work on is top-notch and the fact that you can work from home or have flexible working hours.

    I would say that the technology stack is at least uncommon, they use the Adobe Marketing Cloud. In general, I think that AEM is a robust solution, however, its complexity may be found difficult at the beginning, especially for users who have never had any experience with such a tool before. The point is that AEM offers many features, and you will need some time to learn how to use them (still, I think that it’s... normal when you work with such a product). It's difficult to get promoted, they have a badge system for that. Unfortunately the badges are very difficult to acquire because you don't have the time, unless you do it on your own time.

    Knowing the city, the location is nice. It is far away form the fuss and traffic of the standard places of doing business in Bucharest. There are some benefits that can be considered as a pro, and i will state them here just for reference, as they are for a long time the norm in the industry for Romania: gym discounts, free fruit, free coffee, free refreshments, work from home (used to be unlimited, now cut down to... 10 days a month). Something additional that is not standard consist of a Summit event, and as far as the last 2 went, they are quite fun for the most of it.

    There are several things that need to be dais here. Even though Holacracy is supposed to be practiced, the management system can be considered as being Communism. It is supposed to flatten down the management, have the power shared among all employees, and allow all to have a voice. This sound nice, but in reality there is a lot of shadow management being done. For the masses it is preached a good life, with all... sharing the entire "wealth" and benefits that come with it, while in reality, if you are not one of "the chosen ones" you are disposable, and your voice will be shut down if you speak. This is being done even with core values as "share, discuss, bring ideas to life" and "give and accept feedback". Oh, not to forget, as per the internal policies, you can't give feedback unless you requested approval to do so from the person the feedback is given to, so there is a core value that just flies out the window. The idea of all being shared by the community while the "chosen" few are considered several classes above is what made communism bad, and here is where the comparison stands. The mentality might be accepted in other cultures, but keep in mind that Romania is a country deeply scared by this behaviour, and it is still fighting to get rid of it in social life even after almost 30 year after the Revolution, so don't bring it into the professional lives as well, and actually live your policies and values. Progressing into the company is almost impossible unless you become a "besty" with the right person. Evaluation is not done on facts or on actual skills and the job description that you are hired for, but is something fully subjective, based on 2-3 feedbacks from colleagues that might know or not know your tasks, and is focused only on the core values that you are supposed to follow, even if the "non-existent" but always present management is ignoring. If you want a place where you can shine, improve your skill and actually be appreciated for what you know and you can do, this is not the place to do it.

    As already mentioned, you should start to follow what you preach. One of the old Romanian sayings perfectly describes what you are doing: "do what the preacher says, not what the preacher does". This might go well in some places, but it does not go well in business where people are constantly searching for examples, leaders and mentors. Drop the shadow-management and micro-management and actually let people use... the skills that you hired them to do. Stop using Holacracy and Agile as the tools to hide chaos. Chaos is chaos, and both methodologies have ways of controlling it, however, they are being ignored like they are the devil. Evaluate and promote people based on their actual skill and knowledge, both of the overall and of the company business environment and practices overlapped with their results. Invest in specialists, stop searching and promoting jack of all trades. Accept feedback as an opportunity to grow, even if this is supposed to accept failure or your own lack of capability.
