Coming from a server of 3+ years: • No early cuts for servers, even during slow shifts ( you might make $24, but you’re staying until shift change and EVERY server of the evening comes.) • Required to stay until all evening servers arrive, even if they are late • No host; servers seat themselves, leading to unfair table distribution • Location is hard to access, so weekday traffic is very slow • Staff professionalism is lacking; inappropriate conversations near guests (cursing, talking about sex, abortions, fights with boyfriends as guests are walking in/ or are nearby, etc.) • Unfriendly, cliquish culture that makes new hires feel unwelcome • Management practices feel disorganized and inefficient, favoritism.
