Since I was not offered an exit interview, I am writing to share significant concerns and reflections on my time at NetLine. I dedicated over a year to the company as an SDR 2, working tirelessly to produce results and support the entire sales organization, only to leave feeling discarded and undervalued. These issues need urgent attention for the well-being of current and future employees: Lack of Recognition and Support: Despite generating substantial revenue and even achieving a 100% conversion rate in one month, my efforts were largely ignored. Basic acknowledgments, such as birthday wishes, Holiday incentives, company merchandise, were never extended. This lack of recognition contributed to a feeling of being undervalued and overlooked. Creativity and Innovation Stifled: My attempts at creativity and innovation were regularly admonished because they did not align with my boss's script and ideas. Promises of growth and development were never fulfilled, and when I raised these concerns, they were dismissed without consideration. Given my background and the amount of knowledge I had coming into NetLine it was not respected and anytime I helped a sales rep or SDR with process improvement or overall doing processes in a way that complements their personality it was discouraged and disregarded by my manager given that it was not his way or his idea. Unfair Management Practices: When I requested a raise, I was told to "just keep working." Meanwhile, my boss sought additional compensation for himself and was permitted to demo leads meant for the sales team. This unethical practice demonstrated a blatant disregard for the team's welfare. Shady Business Practices: My boss's actions to position himself to demo sales leads during a time of severe uncertainty left me feeling as though his intentions were to secure his future and with demoing a new tool that eliminates prospecting as a whole to potentially eliminate the SDR team which is troubling. It was clear he aimed to increase his own earnings at the expense of the team's success. Upper management's willingness to not only allow this but then cover it up and not disclose the change to sales or the SDR team is deeply concerning. It is all in salesforce so you can look it up and see it for yourself like I did. Poor Working Conditions: I was required to work from 6 AM to 1 PM PST to align with my EST team, leading to chronic sleep deprivation and worsening my anxiety and mental health. Requests to adjust these hours were dismissed, highlighting a complete disregard for employee well-being. Toxic Work Environment: The culture at NetLine, where at one point 80% of the SDR team came from PandaDoc, made me feel like an outsider especially given the regular recognition to those former Pandadoc reps when my production was the same or more. The dismissive attitude towards time off created a pressure-filled environment where I felt compelled to prioritize work over my well-being. Lack of Coaching and Mentoring: Throughout my time, there was a significant lack of coaching and mentoring. My boss never took the time to understand me as a professional or identify my strengths. Our one-on-one meetings were unproductive, with directives to "just do more" despite data indicating otherwise. His approach focused solely on his expectations rather than effective strategies or personal development. Overall, my experience at NetLine was profoundly negative and quite honestly the worst working experience of my career, severely affecting my professional and personal life. The environment was so detrimental to my well-being that leaving was necessary for me to enjoy life again. This was all regularly documented in my Pulse survey and never addressed so this was a failure on NetLine and Informa. I tried to leave the SDR team and move internally but the path I explored felt very guarded and the feeling was that because I was male I was not wanted on a historically female team and the feedback I got was lackluster as I matched the manager's tone and body language and was docked professionally for it.
