As the new Chief People Officer at Runa, I am in the process of putting together our people strategy and will share this with the company in the weeks to come. Culture, growth and leadership will be a key part of the agenda. We’ll look to enable and support all leaders in the company to develop and inspire their teams so that together we can take the company to the next level.
This stage of growth is typically challenging for many start ups and creating a culture where everyone is empowered to innovate, to challenge and to proactively seek ways to grow ourselves and the company is critical to our success. In our most recent engagement survey 81% of employees agreed that innovation is encouraged as part of our day to day. We haven’t got it all figured out and with that come many opportunities for us to work on.
I have looked into your comments around shaming and bullying behaviours and I disagree with you that this is what is happening. I would however be very keen to discuss with you in confidence what has made you feel this way and I am hopeful that with your feedback we can address things and make sure that you feel Runa is a safe, inspiring and innovative place to work. We have had some critical open leadership positions this year which have resulted in a lean leadership team that have been spread across various areas of the company. I believe this is what in some areas has caused a breakdown of comms and support this year.
