Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela AWS Elemental (Portland, OR) em nov. de 2015
Entrevista
A phone interview followed by a half-day of 5 interviews in the office. I did not enjoy the phone interview - the man seemed disinterested and a bit negative. The in-office interviews were fine but HR was a bit unorganized. My declination email was rather rude and written in poor grammar, and I was annoyed that they continuously ignored any polite requests for feedback. They couldn't even be bothered to make up a reason ("many good candidates", "wanted someone with more expertise in X")

Asked some basic questions on c/c++. Mainly about pointers, references, the various object constructors. Also had to review a bad piece of code containing a memory leak.

I was recruited for the role via linkedin and had a phone conversation discussing the role. The next step was an online coding assessment with a personality test. The final round was a 4-hour virtual onsite interview
Straight forward, just some questions about data structures and general software engineering, I was expecting it to be harder, and was a nice surprise to be overprepared for it. I totally recommend the company's hiring proccess.

The general phone screen with the recruiter went fine. The code review tested basic computer science and had nothing to do with my domain. I forgot little details that I quickly remembered when prompted. It was rather rushed and I hope in no way reflects the actual work environment. I was not told why I was rejected, somewhat expected but annoying.
