Entrevista
This interview was mainly for Java Engineer. I appeared in 3 rounds of it. Description of which is given below. Overall it was good interview. Make sure you do the homework. Read about company and it's culture.
1st round: one to one with HR regarding qualification, experience and skill set. And what is Adyen all about.
2nd round: Codility coding round. It was 3 hrs online coding test.
They restricted the language to Java because my application was for Java engineer. Here, there were 4 questions:-
1. Problem Solving Question:- It was an array question.
2. Sql query:- This query involved cases joins and nested queries.
3. Bug Fixing:- A problem statement was given. And a method for the same was also given.
This method was containing few errors and our task here was to find out those errors and fix it.
Here, they restricted the code changes to only 2 lines - meaning I was not allowed to change more than 2 lines for this program.
This was very tricky. But was a medium level code.
4. Program using Java Streams:- A problem statement was given with all the class and interfaces associated with it. I was asked add a particular feature to that program with Java streams.
3rd round - Codility Review code – Discuss all 4 questions – what was your approach
1. What is integration test?
2. Which version of unit tests do you use?
3. How can you provide security while saving passwords in database
4. How can you check Performance of a query?
5. Discuss about one of the tool upon which I worked upon?
Remarks:- In 1st and 2nd codility Question, - they said mind blowing approach
3rd question - bug fixing - they asked for my approach and then showed me that there was one test case that I missed to test. My Code Changes were taking care of all the test cases except one. They showed me the correct answer and then said I agree that this was tough one to guess.
For 4th codility Question - They said seeing the code seems like you got very less time for this. I said yes. And then asked me to explain the approach. I explained few things in that but not very properly as I was unable to recall it fully.

I applied as a java developer (graduate program).
There were 5-6 rounds which consumed a lot of time (If you pass one round, then you'll be moved forward).
HR screen > introductory session with one senior dev (introduce yourself, why you're interested in Adyen) > Hackkerank > Code review with one tech lead and one senior > so on..
I failed at code review, they asked a lot of deep question to determine whether you really understand java.
It was good and well organized. First they gave an coding exam. Once I had finished it, next interview went around with my coding exam. Asked detailed questions about what I've dine with the exam etc.

I have been setup with first interview with a recruitment person. He has asked only a very few questions such as why are you changing the job. After that I got rejection email. I could not understand on what basis are they filter a software developer after a brief chat.
