I applied through TheMuse, a job searching engine, on March 20th. I then got an email back from a recruiter asking to hop on a quick call 6 days later. I took the call and the recruiter asked me how I heard about affirm and What I do in my current role. The phone screen took about 15 mins and then I was advised I’d have the opportunity to chat with a manager from the operations team.
I then took a call with one of the operations managers the next day and was asked to go into detail about my experience and what I hope to gain from affirm. The operations manager went into detail about the roles offered and what to expect from the role.
March 30th I was then asked to do an at home exercise which would be due the following Monday. I submitted it Monday morning and then got a response back a little bit before lunch that same Monday with an invitation for an on site interview.
The on-site interview took 2 hours exactly on 4/5 and I interviewed with 5 people. 4 of them being fellow operations specialists and one being an operations manager. The interview was divided up so first I was interviewed by 2 individuals for 30 minutes, 1 individual for 30 minutes, and 2 individuals for the remaining 30 minutes.
I enjoyed interviewing with the team and got a good sense of the team dynamic as I met each one of them and got to talking.
The whole interview experience was pretty open ended which allowed me to speak to my strengths.
After the interview, the recuiter advises me that I’d receive a follow up on 4/9. I was pleased that the recruiter followed up with me on the day that was mentioned. I got an offer that same day, 4/9 and accepted!
Shoutout to the recruiters for being welcoming!
