A truly unique learning experience. I want to start off by saying that the recruiter I had was hands down one of the best I’ve ever worked with. She was consistently engaged and always available to answer my questions. The assistant team I met with was also stellar and very much enjoyed the time I spent with them and learning more about what life as an assistant at Affirm looks like. It started with a phone screen with the recruiter. Followed by a call with a member of the hiring team. Was invited back to do an “onsite” round of Zoom interviews. The feedback was positive, so I got moved to the “final round” with the hiring manager. We had a good conversation and was told the next steps would be a decision on hiring. Then I was called back for an additional interview with the hiring manager. They were 8 minutes late…to a 30-minute interview. Feeling less positive about the experience, I reached out to the recruiter to see if we could connect. Before I had a chance to give my feedback, the recruiter was already letting me down easy. I was relieved that we both realized this was a less than perfect fit. Overall rating - 3 stars. Great recruiter and team of assistants. Many mentions of setting boundaries, but not one mention of work/life balance. Good experience up until the second date.
