Entrevista
Warning: Albertson's did a bait/switch and lowballed. A recruiter reached out via LinkedIn about an opening within their technology sourcing group. After confirming the salary range, I proceeded to the interview phase. The process was fairly straightforward - three rounds of video interviews with the hiring director and leadership over the span of 10 days. When it came to the offer stage, it became very concerning: - The salary offer was suddenly $30K less than what was discussed in the initial phases. - I pushed back on this, and was given some runaround about "internal equity." - A signing bonus of $10K was then offered, but had a two-year full clawback. - Benefits do not start immediately, but rather on the 1st day of the month after 30 days employment; this would have left me paying COBRA for two months. When expressing my concerns, the hiring director then had the audacity to accuse me of only looking out for myself. I responded by completely withdrawing for future consideration. As a highly-skilled, accomplished professional, I refuse to be treated this way.
