I learned about the opening from an employee of another insurance company; I applied online that day. The online form asks for your home phone number; I should have just entered my cellphone as it would make contact simpler. After about 10 days I received a call to schedule a phone interview for the next morning. It lasted only about 5 minutes with one question, "Tell me about a stressful situation you have experienced and how you got through it." The person I spoke with was based in the US and was friendly but definately a lower level employee. I was told that my information would be passed along to the hiring manager and I would be contacted soon should they be interested. The call came within a day letting me know I would be emailed a link to an online evaluation. The test was timed with a maximum time of 60 minutes. It took me about 40. It is all mulitiple choice and many/most are cases where more than one answer could be acceptable. Lots of customer service situations are covered. The toughest to answer involved a block diagram showing how a customer service department might be arranged, and a series of questions about how the workflow should go. Within an hour of finishing the test I checked my email and was notified that I passed. This was on a Friday; on Monday I was contacted by phone to set up an in-person interview for that Thursday; you need to confirm the appointment via email. The next day they called back and had to reschedule for the following week. In all correspondance I was told I would meet with the hiring manager. The office was nearly 2 hours from where I live, but at least it was easy to locate. There was not a receptionist in the office; I had to phone an extension from the front desk and they sent someone to get me. I was interviewed by 2 people, neither of them being the hiring manager (I've yet to speak with them). Both of them were friendly and easy going. The interview consisted of about 4 or 5 questions (in line with what others have posted on here, except for what I have posted below) followed by some details about the job and a chance for me to ask some questions. One surprise was that they would provide a company car due to the large size of the territory. I was told that they hoped to make a decision within 2 weeks. The interview seemed to go very well, my biggest concern being that they told me of layoffs Allstate had in the south. Many of those employees, it seems, had put in for transfers. 15 days after the interview I received an email letting me know that the position had been filled but that my information would be kept on file.

Very thorough, but friendly. They do ask the common interview questions using the STAR method and then go through the job responsibilities and training schedule. They answered any questions you may have that were not apparent in the job listing.

Too many interviewers on Zoom to focus on questions being asked and who was asking. Very distracting from the whole interview process. I wish they gave an interview rating or a reason as to why I was not chosen

Smooth managers was understanding. They understood my experiences with previous employers. I will work three again, I just left because I had to move out of country for a while.
