Positive experience talking to all 6 (!) of the AmEx employees I met with via phone and in person. Everyone was motivated, enthusiastic, and sharp. The one on ones were more collaborative conversations than firing squad line ups with endless questions. Several employees even used the phrase "when you work here." I left the interview psyched to hear from them. But it's over 2 months later and HR never contacted me. The HR contacts were from a completely disorganized - couldn't get my name right in the emails, didn't even tell me what specific group I was speaking to, had the main contact's name wrong - consulting firm hired by AmEx. Complete failure on their part to communicate well and follow up. While the team I met with was great, the HR department left me completely disappointed in the experience.
