My overall experience with the interview and onboarding process at Amey was positive. I applied for the position in December 2022 and was invited to complete an online assessment in January 2023. There was a slight delay in receiving the assessment link, requiring me to contact the early careers team for assistance. I was subsequently invited for an interview on April 5th, 2023, and received a decision the following day. Based on my experience, it seems likely that candidates are informed of the outcome within a day or two. The interview day began at 8:30 AM with a group situational awareness exercise, followed by a 5-minute individual interview. The interview was relaxed and conversational, focused on technical and university-related questions, though I understand this can vary. The third stage involved a written exercise based on a hypothetical scenario. We were also given the opportunity to interact with current graduates, which provided valuable insights into their roles and experiences. I ultimately joined Amey in June 2023 and have been grateful for the smooth transition into the company.

Easy process. Made it to the assessment centre and never heard from them again. Even after 6-10 emails requesting for at least a feedback.. Emailed another member of the interview panel who responded rather quickly and confirmed I’ll get a response from whoever was in charge to do so…she CCd them into the email…and yet heard nothing…appalling communication on their part..
