The company conducted a test with 30 questions 28 MCQs (SQL, Docker, Power BI) and 2 coding questions restricted to Python. I knew the logic for both coding problems but couldn’t submit them since I don’t code in Python.
I was shortlisted for Technical Round 1, which went well, and I was told to wait for Round 2 at 11:30 AM. After waiting until 5 PM, I was told they would get back to me and later received a rejection.
It seemed they were only looking for Python developers and were not interested in candidates with good problem-solving skills from other domains. The process felt poorly managed and wasted a lot of candidates’ time.

From the very first call, I clearly stated that my expected salary was 30 LPA. After successfully clearing two technical rounds, I was called for an HR discussion, during which I informed their team that I had received an offer of 33 LPA. I even shared the offer letter when asked and submitted all the personal documents requested by their team.
Since then, I had followed up for over a month with no proper response. Each time, I was given different and vague reasons for the delay in releasing the offer. Later, I was told that 33 LPA is on the higher side and that the budget is 28 LPA.
Frankly, if there was no budget or intent to match the compensation, the process should not have been initiated in the first place. Conducting multiple interviews, collecting documents, and then disappearing without closure is highly unprofessional. It shows a lack of respect for the candidate’s time and effort.
Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Ascentt (Indore) em jun. de 2025
Entrevista
I had a disappointing experience with Ascentt's hiring process. Initially, everything seemed promising—I went through three rounds of interviews, all of which went well. The discussions were smooth, and I received positive feedback. However, after the salary negotiation stage, things took a turn for the worse.
Despite being told that I would receive an update in 5-6 days, the process kept dragging on with no clear resolution. Every follow-up was met with the same vague response: "We will update you soon." This lack of communication and unnecessary delay is extremely unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company’s hiring practices.
If Ascentt has decided not to move forward, the least they can do is provide a clear and timely response instead of keeping candidates in limbo. This kind of behavior is disrespectful to applicants who invest time and effort into the process.
A company’s hiring process is a reflection of its work culture, and such inefficiency raises serious concerns. I would advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with Ascentt, especially if timely communication and professionalism are important to you.
