I was cold emailed from someone at Aviation Search Group regarding this position. Upon further review of my earlier emails, they emailed me a about four months prior about the same position (but added more responsibilities). Three issues I have to gripe about: 1) They have ghosted me for the past week +, and I've sent several followup emails, only to be ignored. 2) The interviewer tried to get me to talk salary in the first round of interviews. I explained multiple times I was not comfortable discussing salary at this stage in the interview. He was clearly getting annoyed, and refused to go further in the process unless I agreed to their salary offer. 3) Based on the two times they have emailed me about this position within 4 months, it's clear they are having trouble finding someone to fill the role. Here is my suggestion to Aviation Search Group (and their client): - Pay what the candidate is worth, or you WILL NOT get quality candidates. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. This is not a matter of people refusing to work. Offering $80k ish per year in salary for a Senior Director position is a complete joke. - Be professional when people refuse to answer the salary question in the first round of interviews. - Ghosting people is again an unprofessional act (in my opinion) and good reason for people not to want to work for your client.
