Applied online, was reached out to for a phone screening with a recruiter. Recruiter was lovely and gave more info about the role and asked general questions.
I then got invited to the first round of interviews which was a competency interview. It was with two people and only 30 mins long. One interviewer was 10 mins late. The other interviewer seemed new to interviewing/management (as I believe this role would report to them), they asked little to no questions and let the other interview lead. There were hardly any questions, just general talk about the role and you had to know how to come in to show your experience. This came across as very sloppy and unprepared on their end, I would have expected it to be more structured.
I didn’t get invited for a second round and the feedback I received didn’t match my profile or how I performed at all. Overall, I believe it was due to what was perceived as a culture mismatch.
I think they would be well to find someone junior to fit the line of command.
