First interview was a 30 min phone call with HR. Interview seemed to go really well, I was told I would be moving forward and would hear from them in a week or so to schedule the second interview. I was also asked to take a specialized assessment test before the second interview. The test turned out to be in 5 parts, 20 min long each. So I spent over an hour taking this assessment test. AND THEN I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. 3 weeks go by and I send a polite email asking if I was still being considered or if they had chosen to move on with other candidates... AND NO REPLY. Didn't even have the courtesy to respond, even after taking that stupid test. Completely disrespectful and a total waste of time. Afterward, I logged onto Glassdoor and found here that their proclamation as "One of the best companies to work for" by Forbes is bogus. Liars on top of disrespectfulness! Now I'm glad I didn't hear from them, seems like I dodged a bullet. Advice to Berntson & Porter: this is a SMALL town. Especially amongst WA CPAs. We all know each other. Your reputation is toast.
