The process began with a technical task that seemed standard for an Art Director role. I was briefed to evolve their existing visual style for high-volume production (50–100 videos/year). They provided their own "control" storyboard and video as a benchmark, which naturally signals a requirement for a refined, scalable system. I spent several days building a modular, component-based library in Figma and Jitter to meet their specific scalability requirements.
However, the actual interview was incredibly unprofessional. Despite I followed the written brief to the letter, they interrupted the presentation at slide two. They claimed they wanted something "completely new" and "not a restyle," directly contradicting the materials and the scalability constraints provided in the brief. The lack of alignment between the brief and the CEO's vision was staggering. Furthermore, the recruitment manager used intimidation tactics, mentioning other candidates to devalue my time and effort.

The primary question was simply to present the work I was tasked to do. However, I wasn’t even allowed to finish. I was shut down at slide two because the work followed the brief "too closely." It became clear they weren't looking for a senior professional to build a production system, but rather for someone to guess a "hidden agenda" that wasn't in the written instructions.

Terrible hiring process. I don’t recommend anyone to do a case for them. They don’t take the time to have an online meeting with you and instead just send a case to measure your skills.
When you accept the case, here’s what happens:
They send you a large case and expect it to be completed in a very short time. After the case is completed, they reject you with no explanation. Even when you send an email asking what the weak points were and how you could improve, you get no response.
