Initial interview was over the phone with a company recruiter based in Florida. She was amazing overall and that portion went smoothly. About 5 days later I received an email from the location I was applying to asking to set up an in-person interview. I showed up and the interviewer was very nice but seemed apprehensive. She did call me “breedist” during our interview when I commented on the increased likelihood on German Shepards having behavior problems due to poor breeding habits. That was very snide imo. The final part of the interview consisted of me shadowing employees on the floor. I was brushed to the side and witnessed mishandling of animals (pushing, pulling, dragging, etc.). Pets also came in, had the doctors glance at them and then were treated by assistants. Not techs, assistants. Treating open wounds. It was surreal.
