I applied via the firm's website and LinkedIn for a position that I am, at the very least, qualified for. I was able to see that someone in the dept. I applied to at the firm viewed my LinkedIn profile and that my application had been received. Multiple inquiries into the status of the position and my application were consistently ignored by HR, which I find to always be totally unprofessional- bordering on the HR dept. not doing their job accurately or ethically. Any upstanding, well-established company should have a standard e-mail they can send that essentially says "thanks but no thanks", but bluemercury didn't even have the decency to respond to me, despite the fact that I was clearly enthusiastic about the position, along with being qualified for it. I was really excited about the prospect of building a career with the firm, but following this terrible experience, I would never even consider working there, let alone shopping there anymore.
