Recruiter reached out via email in August, wasn't interested at the time. A month later when I was looking for a new role, reached back out and tried to schedule, but that recruiter had already left Braze. Signs to come, as another recruiter reached out to schedule first round, and had that a couple weeks later. Told me was going to follow up with manager interview, did not hear back for legitimately 3 weeks. I wasn’t seriously interviewing elsewhere yet, but when I finally was, I asked them for an update a THIRD regional recruiter reached out and asked for another first round. IMO this is already just bad organization, shows how much they care about candidates even after the…first round. I told this recruiter that I already had the first round and was waiting for the manager round, but went ahead and spoke again after the two recruiters got notes from each other. I was fully expecting this “first round” to just have a small chat, but they asked me standard questions again for 30 min, which is whatever I’m not going to be too salty about wasting three weeks. So after this call, was hoping/expecting a manager round confirmation and told me if I didn’t hear from them within three days to reach out. I didn’t hear from them, and three days later I reached out, and the regional recruiter told me that they decided to not move forward, even though I felt I was personally qualified and the first round conversations pretty much confirmed to me. I’m totally cool with rejection, but my experience talking with three separate recruiters, essentially two first rounds, and the promise of a second round manager interview….after 4 weeks? Please don’t waste your candidate’s time like this…I don’t need all that time and dialogue to not even make the second round. Braze isn’t that large of a company, be more respectful and organized with your recruiting process please. They do have a NY office which people go in, and this was enticing and attractive to me. Not sure if was fully remote, but I think for EAE roles you definitely had to be within the same region/hybrid environment.
