It started with the usual process of answering some questions when submitting the application and C.V. I then received an email from Holly the CMO, where I could choose the date for the initial interview. The purpose of the first interview is to ensure your skills align with the role as well as quickly assess your work from home set-up, which is thoughtful as this is a remote first role. The interview was shceduled for 30 minutes, but went on for 45 minutes.
I received an email 2 days later, notifying me that I had progressed to the next stage which is a role-play scenario with the CEO of Byway, Cat. It started off with a pleasant chat and then we went into the role play, It was a little difficult without context, but was really good to get insight into the type of work and issues the role would be involved in. This was scheduled for 30 minutes and also went on for 40 minutes.
I unfortunately didn't make it to the next stag, but I did receive tailored feedback from the CEO. I really appreciated this as it definitely helps and is increasingly rare nowadays.
Overall I enjoyed the interview process. I initially felt the 30 minute time slots were a little short, but they did make provisions to continue as there were still a few things to chat about.

Give an example of how have you have used data to make decisions?
Hi there, this is Holly who you spoke with first. Thank you so much for your review and feedback. We've already extended our interviews to 45 minutes as, you are right, it was a little hard to fit everything into that 30 minute slot for this leadership position. Best of luck with your job search and thanks so much for spending the time helping us get to know you.

The interview process was thorough and well-thought-through. There were several steps, ranging from casual 30-minute conversations to a presentation and a more in-depth interview in the last round. Interestingly, there were also opportunities to meet a lot of the team I would eventually be working with, which gave a really good sense of company culture.
Everyone I met seemed to go out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, clear, and prepared for the next steps.
As this was a leadership role I was expecting the multiple rounds
There were never any questions that seemed set up to trip me up or surprise me, although I will say that the final interview is a unique set up and it does get the brain cells going!
