I was contacted by a headhunter, and the role is to coordinate off-shore teams in southeast Asia e.g. Thailand, Vietnam with Japan team. They need both high Japanese proficiency (I have N1 but maybe my speaking failed them) and English proficiency therefore. The first interview was a casual interview with hiring manager, and it was chill. But I did not make it to the next round , explicitly told that my Japanese language command is not good enough.
