Had a call with the recruiter. She send an email that she will move forward and schedule the next call but then ghosted me probably b/c of my visa situation. But it's unprofessional to ghost candidates.

Probably one of the MOST disorganized interview experiences I've ever had. Twice, an interviewer forgot about the interview entirely or didn't have the right question prepared. Then there was a whole fiasco where they couldn't figure out the coding environment they wanted to have me work in

The interview process was smooth and the interviews had a very conversational tone to them. The only drawback was that the interviews were very far apart with some delay in the communication of the decision after each round, making the whole process fairly long

The interview process were very smooth. After I submit the application, I received a phone screening request with the hiring manager. The phone screening with the hiring manager went pretty smooth, and it was informational. After the first screening, I received a written assessment for the role. The written assessment pretty simple, and requires minimal research of Carta and its service. After my writing assessment, I had a panel interview with 4 people with includes hiring manager, peers, and management. Everyone in the panel interview were easy going, and they wanted to know you as a person.

Phone screen, Take-Home Project, Virtual Onsite Phone screen is just with a recruiter that'll talk you through the process. Then they ask you to work on a take-home project, something pretty "realistic". Then they'll take you onto a virtual onsite if you do what they wanted you to do. Virtual Onsite consisted of two technical interviews (one design and one about your take home project). Then three behavioral ones. The technical interview is what really matters. You must be perfect to pass, otherwise they'll reject you a few days after. I slipped up on a small part in the take-home discussion and was rejected. Also, ignore the blogs that they post, they don't act on what they say (hiring practices).

The whole interview process is 4 stages which is complicated but fast-paced with high operating efficiency. The Hiring members are all from the valuation department so the questions are mainly focused on valuation more professionally.

My interview process did not lead to a full-time partnership with Carta, but I have to say this was one of the most compassionate and inviting interview processes. From the start, Dylan along with Kris was attentive, transparent, and prepared me for every interview. They are true talent advocates for job candidates. And it was refreshing to interview and speak with an insightful leader like Mita. Mita's intentionality around the position's responsibilities and how she was going to empower the role was a huge plus for me. Her praise for the founder's investment in DEI shocked me. So much happening behind the scenes. Such a strategic team with Jake and Isis who were both open about their wins and challenges in retention work and how they expected to collaborate with this role. I even got to meet with a talent veteran, Ashley who worked with Carta for a while. I felt valued to meet with the whole team and not feel confused about what this role would walk in. Whoever gets to work in this company with Mita, Jake, Isis, and the rest of the talent team will be lucky. This team is more than the lip service I have encountered in other companies. I cannot wait to witness the great work of this team. Two words to sum up my entire process are intentional and thoughtful. My declination of the role was solely for personal reasons and no reflection of Carta, the role, or my interview process.

The interview process was straightforward but not transparent. Overall seems incredibly disorganized. I was shocked after speaking to several people + Chief of Staff to be entirely "ghosted" for lack of a better word. I certainly don't mind being denied the position, but to not receive any word whatsoever after follow-up just seemed incredibly odd.
