Standard application (CL/resume included), two rounds of interviews (one on-campus as a local college, one super day in-office). The on-campus interview involved a bit of dataset reasoning--e.g. what data might be useful to answer XYZ sort of question?--and a personal experience conversation. The super day was a four part interview, involving an interview each for: personal experience, statistical/econometric software package knowledge, data management/excel analysis, and research experience/job-specific fit questions. In general, the communication throughout the process from application to offer was very smooth and contiguous. The office members who participated in the interview process were all very warm and collegial--the entire affair was incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Ultimately it was a no-brainer to accept the offer.
