Normal process, takes around 2 weeks to know the status of employment. Post the emplyment status, HR will called and ask for Employment Letter agreement signature. HR will brief on all those benefit that you are entitled. So far, nothing much different between permanent employee and those who under probation. Btw, Probation period = 6 months.
