Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Citrix (Raleigh, NC) em mar 2021

Entrevista

I made through the entire interview process. 1. MS Teams call with hiring manager with a simple coding challenge 2. Technical interview with 2 engineers (MS Teams) 3. 4 sessions. Team fit interview, 2 coding / design interviews , 1 wrap up with hiring manager All my interviews were a great experience. Every team member I spoke to was nice and we had a great conversation. My negative experience comes from what happened after the interviews. After the final round, the recruiter contacted me to tell the team liked me and wanted to move forward with hiring me and they have to sort out some financial stuff to make an offer. I followed up after a few days, and they said they are still working on it. Since then I followed up twice and I didn't get any response from the recruiter or the hiring manager. Perhaps they couldn't sort out the funding, or maybe they found a better fit. But I think it's very unprofessional they tell someone that they want to hire, then completely ghost them. Would have been understandable if they reached out explaining the situation.

Entrevista

Funny how I originally posted this review, got it approved, and then after being live for several weeks it mysteriously disappeared without a trace. I applied for a role at the Raleigh site and was contacted several weeks later by a company recruiter. Initially they seemed really nice and after some typical questions they said they wanted to move me to the next round with the hiring manager. This call was scheduled for the next week. The manager was nice but seemed dull like they didn't fully understand the requirements of the role. I also got the impression that they wouldn't be the type of manager I could rely on if I needed help or wanted to work on career growth. They liked me enough though to have the recruiter reach out for a technical round with the team lead for the next week. This is where things quickly got ugly. I joined the webex and waited for more than ten minutes past the scheduled time before the lead joined. When they arrived they didn't apologize for their tardiness or exchange any polite greetings. They also didn't turn on their camera even though I was required to turn on mine which made the interview even more awkward. They kicked off their questioning by asking me to tell them about myself but after speaking for a few seconds they cut me off and said we needed to get into the technical exercises. I was asked to open the project I had been sent but no project had ever been provided to me. When I politely explained this to the lead they got rude with me and said that I should read my emails more carefully because the project was attached to the invite. I already had my email open so as nicely as I could I showed my screen with every email I had received from the company so they could clearly see that no project had been provided. The instructions in the invite even stated that the interviewer would provide the project to me. The lead huffed but agreed to send me the project. I got the link, opened the project, and noticed the assignment they sent me was in a different language than what the job role would use. Once again I politely pointed the issue out and once again the lead got rude and made some sarcastic comment about how a good developer should be familiar with multiple languages. I pointed out that I do know several languages but that since this job is for a specific set of technologies I figured the interview would be based on those technologies. The lead huffed again but agreed to let me use the language of my choice. I began working through the exercise and thought I was doing well but only 15 minutes in the lead stopped me and said they had seen enough. I was then given some time to ask my own questions. This was when I discovered that the team lead was not only rude but also clueless. They struggled to answer even basic questions about the team or role and I could tell that they were relying on the engineers beneath them to cover their lack of ability. There were also certain questions that they refused to give a straight answer on like when I asked about the breakdown of a typical work day or their leadership style. Since I wasn't getting any clarity from the lead I finally asked what I could expect for next steps and all they said was that I'd hear back soon. I asked if they had a specific time frame and they repeated soon. They then wrapped up the interview without so much as a parting thanks. When I thought about having to work under such an awful lead and a not so good manager I knew this job wasn't right for me so I sent the company recruiter an email politely letting them know that I was no longer interested in the role. The previously responsive recruiter never bothered to respond or reach out. Four weeks later I got an email from the company that I was not selected for the role. I imagine it looks better for their metrics to not admit that candidates are turning them down.

Candidatei-me por meio de um recrutador. O processo levou 5 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Citrix (Raleigh, NC) em abr 2020

Entrevista

During the interview, most interviewers held their cards close and appeared afraid to give away answers or hints to the questions they asked. To give them the benefit of the doubt, you don't want to softball your questions. But on the other hand it can be difficult to understand exactly what it is you're asking about if you're too vague. It also gives me the impression that the interviewer may not completely understand the answer to the question they are asking. In other words, interviews should be a two-way dialog. If interviewers opened up a little more, maybe I would have an idea why I'm not a perfect fit for the role. But frankly, I have no idea.

Phone interview with hiring manager was great. Brought in for group interview with people who hadn't read my resume and were kind of jerky. Never actually heard back one way or the other.

Entrevista

One of the worst interview experiences. They do not treat their candidates with respect. I have received calls from 3 different recruiters for 3 different positions over the last 3 months. The first recruiter was from NC and it was a typical recruiter interview. He never got back and it's been 3 months. Second time it was for a similar position in Florida. The same thing happened. The recruiter called back. I don't care if its a rejection. At least have the courtesy to inform your candidates. Third time, it was a different recruiter again from Florida. This time the recruiter got back they actually set up a technical interview. I took half day leave from work just to give this interview. The interview was at scheduled from 11.30am-12.30pm but the interviewer never showed up. I waited till 12pm and then I had to head back to work. One of the worst companies to interview for.

Candidatei-me por meio de um recrutador. O processo levou 3 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Citrix (Raleigh, NC) em jan 2019

Entrevista

The first recruiter I spoke with was very nice, informative, and helpful. I was followed up by the second recruiter and she was rude and our conversation was brief. It seemed as if the first and second recruiters I spoke with were not on the same page. The second recruiter was supposed to follow up with me but never heard from her. The first recruiter after our conversation invited me to the interviews, but nothing was said about the next steps with the second recruiter. The first recruiter helped me clear the ambiguity in the process and told me that they would be contacting the director about the second recruiter--since it was not the first time she left candidates in the dark. As for the company I hope they review their recruiting processes and make sure they are fair, just, and make sure there are clear communications with all parties involved. Also, I'd suggest that the management review the second recruiter. Their process is unethical and fair for applicants/candidates.

Entrevista

The interview was rather rigorous and lengthy. Each interviewer provided great feedback based on detailed and specific answers to the questions. First, you are contacted by a senior recruiter. Second round is with a local recruiter. Third round is face to face with the hiring manger for your department after you complete a full tour of the facility.
