I had an initial phone screen with the CEO and Co-Founder. This was a quick run down of my CV and a chance for him to ask a few competency questions. I was then invited to have an informal chat with one of their consultants over a drink at a pub. It was a good chance to ask off the record questions. I was then invited to their offices in London Bridge for a panel case study interview with a Principal Consultant and one of the Directors. Like some of the comments on Glassdoor, they seem to treat it as a roleplay rather than a simple dialogue so if you're drama skills aren't up to scratch, good luck trying to keep up with them - it can get a bit humourous if anything! A few days later I then got an email from the CEO and Co-Founder confirming they won't be making an offer but to be honest, I'm glad he didn't make an offer because his email summarised the culture of this firm and his attitude as a leader. I was expecting his email to highlight his feedback or reasons as to why I was unsuccessful but he just wrote:
"Thanks for coming in to the office for your final round. Unfortunately we won't be taking you any further in the process. Many thanks for your interest in Clarasys, best of luck in your job search and future career"
I expected this type of response when you initially submit an application but not when you've got to the end of the process. For the time you invest in their process, he could had been a bit more nicer in the way he turns people down.

Apologies that you did not receive detailed feedback from your interview. Since you met with Clarasys we have made improvements to our process and now have an internal recruitment team that will always be happy to supply feedback from interviews.

First stage a telephone chat, second was a remote interview, followed by a second face to face with case study presentation, followed by questions about my experience in the consulting space

Longest interview experience I've ever had. The whole process took over 2 months and there was so much back and fourth. From the very start, they continuously said they were looking for people from different backgrounds and experiences to diversify their current team. I never had a 'consultant' title, but I've done consulting work and I've used all the tools they mentioned and they were fine/impressed with my experience until the very end.
The first interview is the recruiter interview to gauge your experience and see if you have the right background and fit. The second interview is with the President and it's still pretty general and open. The third interview is a consultant meet and it's a chance to ask any questions you have in an informal setting. The fourth interview is the case study and final interview with some senior consultants.
In the end, they offered me a different position because I didn't have a consultant title in my previous jobs. It was extremely frustrating because they emphasized the fact that they weren't strictly looking for a consulting background and put me through all four interview rounds. They should've been clear and transparent from the start but instead, they made me wait weeks on weeks to lowball me. I now understand why they have been struggling with recruiting in the US.
