This is regarding a remote Sr Cloud Engineer role I applied to and fully interviewed for with Core Consulting. I was informed that I passed the two technical video conference interviews, as well as the 'Coalfire Technical Challenge' (20+ hours to complete). I was then informed that the position was paused for "quarterly forecasting” and never heard back. Since that time, I learned hiring for this position was contingent upon a contract being awarded to Coalfire, which didn’t happen. Coalfire may want to review how ethical it is to front-load staffing for a contract which hasn’t been awarded yet (ghost job), and not being transparent with the applicant about that. This type of recruiting lacks any sense of integrity. Job candidates are doing your company a favor by volunteering their time to go through the recruiting process. They trust at a minimum that the position they’re interviewing for actually does exist, and that the recruiting team is being honest throughout their process. Your Sales and HR leadership should be spoken to, as this behavior is not only unethical, it’s unbecoming of good companies, and starts at the very top of your sales and recruiting organization. For anyone trying to find out what it’s like to interview with Coalfire, learn from my experience above. They will waste your time to no end. Entrevista
Recruiter video interview, team panel interview, technical assessment, final team interview. The recruiter was educated in my background and strengths I brought to the table. The team interview was highly structured and focused on technical questions. The assessment was take home and I had 3 days to complete. The final interview was a mix of technical and behavioral questions.
