      Entrevista para Sales Manager

      7 de jul. de 2017
      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista

      Oferta recusada
      Experiência negativa
Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me de outra forma. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa DRF Water Heating Solutions (Plainfield, IL).

      Entrevista

I filled out a lengthy application in their front office. While waiting, I saw managers treating others who were applying for an installer job treated rude and curt. This was a sign to me that their management looked down on their employees, rather than as an asset. I gave the person at the front desk and waited to see my first interviewer. That went well, until she told me I would now be meeting with the owner - a younger man with an exaggerated ego, to say the least. I was immediately informed by the owner that I spelled ONE word wrong (a town I of which I was unfamiliar) on the application. That was a red flag as my experience, skills and strengths far outweighed such a petty issue. I saw the future - he needed to point out the slightest flaw to make him feel superior. Would I want to work for someone who is just lying in wait to point out one's mistakes, irrespective of how insignificant? No, but I was already in the interview and figured I'd see how it played out as long as I already had a time investment in it. Then, as the interview with the owner and HR was winding down, (very positive) I was informed they have a prayer service every morning of which I was expected to participate. I was then asked how I felt about it. Considering I was not of the same religion as this employer, I was MOST uncomfortable. That pretty much concluded the interview at this company (cult). I was called back, but declined, as I could not work for this company no matter what the offer may have been. Side note to people who are new to interviews - Look around the office at the employees... If they seem happy and engaged it's probably a good company. If EVERYONE looks like they are dreading every minute... would rather be anywhere else... expressionless face because they are so depressed... that will be YOU if you take a job their. This company's employees all looked like they would rather die than be at their job.
