I mainly communicated and dealt with Pete, he’s very direct and it was appreciated. Pete and I were very interested in making something happen, but overall fell short in the compensation. The interview was pretty easy as I had a lot of experience, but this is the issue that came with the compensation. Unfortunately, the company bases compensation on the years of experience as opposed to the value of that experience or location of your assigned workplace. This is due to their structure they have from hiring straight out of college and easing them in, so they see all of their engineers as the same based on their time at the company. This doesn’t translate directly to outside the company as someone can have the same amount of years of experience, but be exposed to way more and have more knowledge due to the companies you have previously worked at. Overall, if you’re interviewing and looking for a place to start your career, this would be it straight out of college. If you’re looking to expand your experience or look for another opportunity, I would look elsewhere.

Entrevista
They want to know why you want to work for Desilva. They expect you to know where you want to work at and are willing to move if need be. At the end of the day, if you are smart and willing to to put the hours in and make the company money, your in. If you interview with Pete, he's a no bs, straight up guy. Great to deal with.
