      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Digitopia.

      Entrevista

Keep in mind this was pre-covid. But there were 4 steps in the interview process: 1.) initial call with a director. 2.) skillset demonstration interview in-person, where I was given an assignment ahead of time and presented to a team. 3.) interview with an executive to determine culture fit 4.) final interview with the CEO

      Perguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pergunta 1

For the initial phone interview, it was pretty standard questionsa and went over my resume. Asking questions around: experience; skillset; why I was looking to leave; salary requirements; why I wanted to work at Digitopia; and other typical intitial interview questions that lasted about 30 minutes. The skillset meeting in-person lasted an hour and we went into a lot of details specific to the job function. I was supposed to present as if they were the client. They definitely knew their stuff and wanted to see if I knew mine. Questions around how did I come to the decisions I made; what was my approach. Wanted to dive into KPIs and supporting metrics. Although they were very pleasant, it was a little intense because we were diving into specifics. The 3rd interview revolved around culture fit. I thought this would be a little easier, but turned out to be pretty more difficult than I thought. Primarily because I was asked questions by the executive that were less about my business skills and more around what if scenarios. And these were out of the box. So although I had prepared for the interview, the questions were different. For example, in 30 seconds explain to me a process around something non-business related and make it as interesting as possible. Or, look around the room (conference room) and choose 3 things you would take with you if you were stranded on an island. And then we would dive into those answers. Although very friendly and amicable, the interviewee was pretty intense and had lots of follow-up questions. The 4th and final interview with the CEO started with a problem solving activity. And goodness, I was so nervous that I was going to fail. But he was very supportive. He clearly explained that he wasn't looking for the right answer, but rather, how you come to the answer. After that, we got to talk more about what was important to me and my goals. He explained the mission, vision and values of the company. It felt very honest and authentic, which I appreciated.
