Entrevista
Applied for the position online, received a phone call less than five minutes later. During the phone interview I was told that it was a brand new position that just opened up that day and need to be filled immediately. She said I was a perfect fit for the position and asked to come in for an interview that week. When I arrived I was sat in a meeting room and told that someone other than the person I talked to would be meeting with me. The manager of the employment service came into the room several minutes later with another person whom I was told was training. The manager asked a few questions and for the hard copy of my resume which I gave her. She began explaining the position and asking me questions about my previous work history. She seemed confused as she looked at my resume until I explained to her that she was looking at the address instead of the name of the company. At that point I thought that I may possibly be wasting my time if she couldn't read a resume. She told me that she would set up an interview with the company and that I should call the original person I spoke with the next day for the details. When I called she mumbled something about the top two candidates being reviewed and that I should call back two days later. Figuring I had nothing to lose I called back and was told that the company hadn't made up their mind on the original two candidates and that there was nothing else available at the time, but that they would keep my resume on file. As I thought in the live interview, they were very confused and unprofessional. Unfortunately many employment services are.
