Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Emlid (Budapeste) em dez. de 2024
Entrevista
The interview was held in three stages - communication with the HR specialist, a technical interview with the technical lead of Android development and mobile development and communication with the team. I was pleasantly surprised by the approach to conducting the interview - both the technical part and Soft Skills. In the technical part, they did not ask from the very basics, technical leads did not need to question the candidate on the very basics of object-oriented programming and language to assess his level of knowledge. They asked questions that really show the experience and knowledge of the candidate. Also in the technical section assessed not only knowledge in the field of Android development, but also erudition in general regarding computer science and the web. There was also a fairly voluminous part concerning Soft Skills. It is important for the company to understand what kind of candidate they are taking into the team - how a person behaves in a team, whether he knows how to get out of conflict situations, whether he is inclined to create them. So, in the process of communicating with the HR specialist, it was clear to me what kind of person the company is looking for and what they expect from him.

Let's imagine a situation where your colleague insists on his solution to a problem, and you insist on yours. How would you act in this situation?

The interview process consisted of three stages.
In the first stage, I had a conversation with an HR representative. We discussed my previous work experience, my expectations for the new role, and they provided information about the company, its values, and the product they are working on. The conversation was pleasant, and I immediately sensed a positive atmosphere within the company.
The second stage involved an interview with the leader of the mobile development team. This stage lasted about an hour and focused on technical questions related to Android development, as well as some general computer science topics. If I didn’t know the answers or got a bit confused, the interviewer guided me towards the correct answers and was very supportive throughout.
In the final stage, I met with the Head of HR and the leaders of the mobile and Android teams. The interview was relaxed and covered both software skills and technical knowledge. There were many interesting questions, ranging from general technical ones like "How does the Internet work?" or "What is a cache?" to situational questions such as "How would you handle a specific problem if you encountered it?" I enjoyed this final stage the most.

The interview process took place in 3 stages
At the first stage, there was a conversation with HR, we talked for 30-40 minutes about my previous experience, they told me about what the company does, about its values and the project. The conversation was pleasant, and a good atmosphere in the company was immediately felt
At the second stage, I met with the leader of the mobile team. We talked about technologies for about 1.5 hours, about android, kotlin, various libraries. What I liked was that if I didn't know the right answer or answered with blurts, the interviewer always tried to find out the course of your thoughts with leading questions and sometimes said the right answers.
At the third stage there was HR, those leads of the mobile team, those leads of the android team and even the CEO.
The interview was successful and quite calm, there were questions both on soft skills and on the technical side. What pleasantly surprised me was that the questions were about general knowledge of the world's device, something like "How the Internet works" and the like, which every engineer should know regardless of the technology stack and qualifications.
