Because my interview was handled through a recruiter, my first interaction with the company was when I walked in for the first interview. The first interview was with two people at the same time; one of whom would be my boss and the other who would be my co-worker. They were both nice, asked questions about my previous experience; nothing difficult really. But then, the one who would be my boss started getting instant messages from a client of theirs and she started answering in the middle of the interview. She was furiously typing back and forth with this person while I'm just sitting there waiting for someone to ask another question. I tried to keep conversation going with the coworker during this, asking questions, further explaining things I thought she'd want to know, but mostly it was just awkward. Then after this finished the president calls the would be boss and wants to discuss things with her. Again she checks out of the interview to handle this as well. I tried to be understanding, but was a little put off that they couldn't even carve 30 mins out to handle my interview; it made me wonder what they would expect of me....to be a workaholic?
My second interview was with the president of the company, who was also nice. I actually liked her a lot, and her questions were also mostly about my past work experience; again nothing difficult really. During this interview though, she confirmed my concerns that they had high expectations that your job would come first and you would be expected to work all hours if needed.
Overall, they were very nice, interested in bringing in the right person with the right qualifications, but definitely not afraid to work their employees hard; at least from what I got.
