Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela Flight Centre Travel Group (Melbourne) em jun. de 2013
Entrevista
I applied online and received an email asking me to pick a time for a telephone interview.
2 days before my interview was scheduled to take place, I received a call saying they were having a group interview in Melbourne and I was invited to attend without having done a phone interview.
We were asked to wear business attire and be prepared to take notes.
I also had to complete an online test before the interview which wasn't too bad but the maths section was intense and I didn't finish it. BE PREPARED TO CALCULATE FAST!
The interview was at the head office in Melbourne at 5pm (an annoying time when I had to drive through peak hour traffic) til 8pm. (they did apologise for it being really late).
We were seated in a conference style room in front of a TV and we watched (there was about 15 of us) a short video about how flight centre began and where the company was going.
Then we had a team leader come in and tell us what it's like to work for flight centre and we were allowed to ask her any questions we wanted.
Then we were told about expectations, hours per week, benefits etc
Then we were told the confusing way in which they calculate salary and commission.
Then we had a 10 minute break for water and toilet.
When we all came back it was straight into a test. Geography, Numeracy and Literacy were all part of it.
The geography questions were not as easy as I was expecting! Make sure you are familiar with capitol cities of lots of countries close to australia and well known ones in europe (England, France, italy etc). Also we were asked questions on airlines and how we would sell vacation packages vs non packaged holidays,
Numeracy questions weren't so bad because we were allowed to use a calculator.
Literacy was just 1 extended questions about 'what would you do in this situation' basically.
In the middle of the test we were taken out of the room 1 at a time to do a role play where we had to be a travel consultant and the interviewer was a customer wanting to book a holiday. I've done lots of role play type things in interviews but this one was difficult because I was so busy doing my test I didn't get any time to plan anything really.
After that we were left to finish the test
At the end of the night we were taken in groups and asked questions like 'name a time when you persevered at work. Give specifics' and had to come up with an answer on the spot.

Had to do phone interview, then assessment centre, then references. Then we got an offer to work 45 minutes away from home. Unfortunately I couldn't travel but it sounded ok.
