Met with recruiter who was phenomenal and painted a great picture. She was truly a brand ambassador.
Met with the hiring manager who was less personable and dry and questions were standard but not set up to uncover soft skills.
Product is cool and the company is mission driven and looking to make a difference. I imagine they will continue to grow, however I think they are having a bit of an identity crisis trying to look and act like a SaaS company but in the hardware space. They have high costs and no real investment in marketing and other sales support functions. Sales goals seem to be too high and they are aiming to hire reps who both own their full top of funnel but also sell multi-million dollar deals, which is not generally effective and a very expensive way to grow.
I ultimately decided not to pursue due to lack of cross functional support, misaligned goals, and likely faulty expansion strategy from the top.
