Entrevista
I think there should have been a better description of the job itself on the job board as it very loosely matched what information was given in the interview. I was scheduled for a Zoom interview. During the interview, the woman shared that the pay was $40 while facilitating programs and $20 any time you are not actively facilitating a program. This seemed like it would get tricky and even messy to try to organize what hours were spent where and what hours would need to be paid at the $20 rate and $40 rate. She said that it wasn't exactly a full-time position. When I asked how many hours approximately could be expected for Facilitating Programs and how many hours were spent doing other job tasks she would not give me an answer but did share you would have "A" weekly session you would facilitate. This seems to glorify the position in my opinion unless I misunderstood and you are going to several locations in that one day once a week but I wasn't able to get a clear answer. The job was posted with a salary range of $20-$40. I just found this to be a waste of the interviewer's time as there were no indications of part-time (in fact my job search was only for full-time) and the salary was listed as $20-$40. So one can assume if they are not entry-level and have the qualifications that they could expect more than $20 an hour when in reality it seemed the majority of your pay was going to be the absolute lowest amount advertised. I want to add too that I attempted to ask the hours of the job (9-5, 8-5) and she just told me that the programs would start before 5 pm? So I am not sure what work/ training is asked of you before that time frame. When I asked it differently to try to get a more definite answer she asked if that would work for me. I told her I was simply unsure if it would and that I was curious about the hours and expectations to see how they would align with myself and what I was looking for and then was not met with an answer on hours again. Additionally, she shared that the position requires a good amount of driving and you would be doing these sessions solo. She mentioned going to and from different schools (which she said have heightened security), juvenile jail facilities, YMCA, etc. Another piece of information I think would have been useful in the job description considering settings such as jail facilities are not for everyone along with heightened security and should be listed in the description to allow the candidate to decide if that is a good fit for them while reading the job description and not during an interview or simply sending more information about the job after confirming the first interview to allow someone more information before the interview. The lack of transparency and leaving everything very open-ended felt unprofessional and lacked respect for the interviewer's time.
