The interview process at GM Financial was long and felt disorganized. I went through multiple rounds with gaps in between, making scheduling difficult. Each interview felt different, and some interviewers didn’t seem fully informed about my background or previous conversations. Overall, it felt impersonal and left me with a poor impression of their candidate experience. If you’re considering interviewing here, be prepared for a lengthy and inconsistent process.

One of the two interviewers seemed very unprepared. But everyone was nice and easy to talk with. Pretty standard STAR questions. The hiring manager shut off their camera mid way, probably once they decided I wasn't the right fit for their team. But it felt a bit awkward when they basically disappeared from the rest of the interview and left their boss to continue it.

After applying, I was asked via email to do a video interview. After that, I got an email to schedule an interview with the team I would potentially be working on. After that interview, it took a full month to hear confirmation on whether or not I got the job. Worst part of the scenario was the juxtaposition regarding how lovely the people were in the interview, yet they took so long to communicate a response.
