The interviewing process was pretty simple and straight-forward. I submitted an application and received a call to come back in and interview. The manager doing the interviews asked me some questions on gaming knowledge, what systems I had, favorite games/series, etc. At the end of the interview I was offered the position and began the very next day (holiday season). They then placed me at the front door of the store on Black Friday (my very first day) to help customers. I hadn't had a tour of the place yet to really know where things were at so it was hectic at first but pretty easy to catch on. Another issue with the process was that they never told me how the break schedule worked so when I went in at 10 and didn't get a break until almost 4 I was pretty hungry (hadn't eaten breakfast). It is definitely something you want to ask during the process if the info is not offered up.

No real difficult questions really. They just want to get to know you and get a feel for how you will get along with everybody there.

Standard questions given by the managers and assistant manager. Questions involving teamwork, managing time, and organization. Also, work history and education. Experience with last and current game consoles is a must. Relaxed environment while appearing business casual. No need to do an online application.
Applied online and then got a call to schedule interview. She asked me about what games I like, consoles I have, etc...Then she went over how strict the job is alongside the pay rate and I, for some reason, still said I wanted to work there.
