The first step was a phone interview with a recruiter. This was straightforward and the conversation was casual. The recruiter wanted to get an idea of who I was and why I would be a good fit for the role. The second step was a personality type assessment that I completed online. Overall this wasn't difficult. However, there was some math involved so in hindsight I would have brushed up on my algebra beforehand. The third step was a skype interview with 2 sales managers. Again, the conversation was casual but the questions had more to do with my experience and how it aligns well with the core duties of the role. Both managers were very friendly so it made for a comfortable interview. The fourth step was a mock sales pitch. This was easily the most difficult part of the interview because I didn't have a ton of time to prepare and because I was asked to sell Glassdoor. That said, the company was well aware that I didn't know much about the product. They were more interested in my ability to carry a conversation and how well I thought on my feet (threw some curveball questions). The fifth and final step was an in-person interview with two more sales managers. If you make it this far you are in great shape. I used the final interview as one last chance to sell myself and remind them that I was very interested in the role.
