I got a mail from a recruiter and was scheduled a telephonic interview with the team. Overall the Interview process was smooth. It was medium level difficulty interview. The interviewer was very friendly and I believe that i did well. But it seems the interviewer didn't think so. The Only disturbing fact was that there was dead silence after the interview. Despite sending two follow up emails there has been no response from the recruiter. If they have decided to reject me, It would have been better if they had informed me of the same. If anyone in Goldman HR is reading, I would suggest please find a subtle way of saying that it will take more time or something else. I guess people will understand and also might protect them. I interviewed for a VP Software Engineering role at Goldman Sachs few months back and the experience was disappointing. The recruiter’s communication during scheduling and follow-ups felt rude and unprofessional, which was surprising for a firm of this reputation. The technical rounds focused heavily on data-structures and graph coding problems despite the senior leadership nature of the role. While I explained my approach, I couldn’t fully complete the implementation within the time limit. Most concerning was the lack of any feedback or follow-up after the interviews. I didn't even know what happened. Overall, this was one of the least professional interview experiences I have encountered.
