Initial process with internal recruitment based in US, followed by a really great interview with the hiring manager for the role. The task was given to me and thats when the whole process turned south. I was meant to be presenting to both the hiring manager and another key stakeholder ( who failed to join the call). I felt it really went well regardless and thats when they went radio silent on me. I had to chase for an update a week later only to receive a note saying that another candidate was further along in the process and they had made an offer. I just wish they would have a) been honest with their feedback and b) been communicative.

They have this recruiter who has been w/ the company only couple of months, and she is the worst one I ever encountered. Applied online & then recruiter wrote to me. After I replied to her email, I did not hear back for a long time. Then I followed up again and again. Finally she bothered to reply and set up a call. And guess what? She did not even show up to the call. When I emailed her asking whether we were still having the interview, she gave me some lame excuse. So the interview was scheduled for a week later. Her attitude was very condescending and brash. She also talked very fast making her hard to understand on the phone. She went as far as blatantly lying to me that they were pretty far ahead with the interviews after making me wait for weeks. And of course, I did not hear back as I expected from her nasty attitude. Then weeks later after our talk, she posted on a PMM board trying to recruit for this position. Were you not already pretty far ahead with your interviews? Have a little decency! Before this meeting w/ this horrible recruiter, I read reviews on Glassdoor about Handshake's toxic culture. This woman is the living example of it. Good luck to the hiring manager trying to recruit decent people w/ this inept and super frustrating recruiter. I have been interviewing w/ Fortune 50 companies, making it to final rounds. So who cares about your stupid company... I am just writing this so people will not waste their time.
