      Entrevista

      I made it through all rounds and reference checks and was ultimately rejected. Hatch had many opportunities to be more respectful of me and my time as a candidate and they fell short. There was a gap over a month between my recruiter screen and HM interview. HM interview was fine, but I found out that a big project that was pitched to me had in reality already been completed and I wouldn't actually have input. In my HM interview and subsequent virtual on-sites I spoke to people that were all kind and knew their stuff but ALL told me that the Support team I was joining had been drowning for months - not the best impression. After a week or so, I received an email at 7pm the Friday before the long weekend for the 4th that I was to complete reference checks. This was done through a form that would be emailed to my references, rather than the Hatch team proactively reaching out, which led to some confusion. The recruiter tapped me on Wednesday (again, after sending me this request after-hours on Friday before people were away from their homes/desks for DAYS) that my references were overdue. I reached out to my refs and they completed by EOD. On Saturday at 11:30am I received a rejection email from a no reply email address simply stating that they did not have a role for me. I replied and CC'd the recruiter asking for feedback and she let me know that I had ultimately been rejected due to a gap in a very specific area of experience, which I had discussed with the recruiter in our very first conversation. Eighty days total elapsed from my application to my rejection, and ultimately so much of that time was wasted. Please be respectful of your candidates - if we make it to a final round and REFERENCES you can at the very least reach out personally.
