3 interviewers in the room. They were all friendly and made me feel at ease. They asked a lot of questions as well. They wanted me to talk more about my skills and how I utilised them in my experiences.

Not disability friendly and respectful of people's time. Declared I had a disability and requested reasonable adjustments prior, these were not accommodated by HR, so I had to bring up my adjustments before we started the interview, which was never enjoyable and made me anxious. One adjustment was sorted out promptly (which I appreciated, thank you), but still, it’s not ideal as such situations can influence unconscious bias! You’re interviewed by a panel of three people, all at the supervisor/managerial level including the hiring manager. Answered to the best of my ability. Interview questions were overwhelming as they were similar to one another, so you had to repeat yourself a lot and there were many questions. A few were odd, I would say even irrelevant as they were really specific, so to answer them with how they would like, you’d need to have previous experience within the role anyway. Also received an email less than a business day before the interview, with the job specification. Alarm bells ran (why provide it so late?), apparently timetables are provisional so they could change weekly to accommodate when other staff are off (If I remember correctly). Would have never applied if this was made transparent during the application process, or at least when invited to an interview. Also how are people supposed to prepare for an interview in a reasonable time without the job specification? Following the interview, I received a standard unsuccessful email. Not even an apology from HR regarding the reasonable adjustments. Disappointing experience and highlights the barriers disabled and neurodiverse people continue to go through, despite many employers saying they’re ‘disability confident’.
