Each student is different, with diverse backgrounds, so I wish to first meet with their teachers and administration to learn background information which is helpful in dealing with any behavior issues. I use the language of civility process, modeling how we speak for each content area, and the value-based behavior system. When necessary, the student, administrator, teacher and I will hold a group meeting to address any issues, and when needed, included parent participation.
