How would you handle an upset donor with a complaint?

First, hear them out, and make sure they feel seen, heard, and listened to. Second, if the complaint/issue is within my control to fix, fix the issue to the best of my ability, if it’s out of my control, make sure they feel validated, and pass on the complaint to whoever has the authority and/or ability to fix it.
