Take home code challenge, then phone + online coding challenge. I went through two rounds of coding challenges, the first one was a take-home assignment that was mostly frontend in nature. I did OK there, so I moved on to the next phase of the process, which was an online code-quiz that wasn't too bad except I was rusty on Javascript date functions, so I spent a good 10 minutes experimenting heh...not my finest hour. However, I got the tasks done, including the bonus portion, and I think I met all of the criteria. My recruiter misunderstood the nature of the role. Ingenio was looking for a full-stack developer who had a lot of experience with C#, mvc, and ember on the frontend. I am a front end developer well-versed in Angular and React, so this wasn't a good fit for either of us. I didn't spend much time getting to know anyone, west coast companies aren't really that interested in your past projects, 20 year work history, or what you're doing now. They want you to do algorithms. Anyway, the one person I did the online exam with was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. My impression of Igenio is very favorable.
