Prior to interview I got a call from someone asking me to partake in an interview and confirming my research preferences, I specified qual or mixed methods, but was told they wanted to put me through to interview for quants. I was happy to proceed having some experience, but looking back I feel this really hindered me in the interview. Interviewed over MS teams by two people. I thought the interview was handled well. The women who interviewed me were welcoming and asked considered questions that weren't to trip me up but to understand who I am and what my goals are. I also had to do a presentation based on a topic from their 2020 report. They asked mainly questions about my research experience and what my research preferences are. A few situational questions also. I thought the interview went well but not amazing. Sadly I never heard any response, and when I emailed to try and confirm my result and ask if I could get some feedback, they still never responded. I am less disappointed about the role and more about the way they treat interviewees. It would have taken so little effort just to let me know the outcome, especially when I emailed back a number of times to confirm. I have always kept an eye on the Ipsos jobs page and I understand this could have been a mistake or just lost in the system somewhere, but I don’t think I'd want to apply to another job there again if theres this little consideration for interviewees.
